Peggy Made This the Trip of a Lifetime! My husband and I joined the Journeys Unlimited silk route driving trip in September 2025 – we loved everything about it and can’t thank the AU/JU teams enough for making this the most memorable one for us. Our 12-day, 3000 km driving trip was a massive undertaking, and it was entirely due to our incredible tour leader, Peggy, that it became one of the best trips we have ever taken. From handling the logistics for Chinese driving licenses, car rentals and pre briefing on apps needed in China, to the actual daily logistics of the tour itself, everything was handled so well by Peggy and the local guide Bob. She kept us perfectly on time, yet somehow managed to ensure we had adequate time at every single attraction.. But what truly sets Peggy apart is her spirit. She was a bundle of infectious enthusiasm for all 12 days, keeping our spirits high across thousands of kilometers. She didn’t just manage the trip; she participated in it, joining in on everything we did, including the costume parties! She’s also a miracle worker when it comes to snacks and food and kept us incredibly well-fed. She even took some absolutely stunning photos of our group. Both of the trips were led by Peggy and I had enjoyed myself very much! Hiking requires significant exertion but Peggy has a great positive energy and under her guidance, the morale of the whole group is very cheery despite our fatigue kicking in at times/facing some hiccups here and there.
